Press of Atlantic City - Newspaper Tuesday, June 03, 2003 SHILLINGFORD, LOUISE C., 85, of Aston, PA, died June 1, 2003 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born in Dover, DE and raised in Wilmington, DE, she lived in Aston for three months. Her previous residence was Villas for 23 years, and prior to that Eddystone, PA. She was a Secretary for Litton Ind. (Clifton Precision) for 20 years retiring in 1972, and a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Cape May. She was an avid golfer until she was 83 years old. She belonged to the BL England Woman's Golf League in Marmora, where she had won trophies. She enjoyed playing cards, painting, gardening, playing the organ. She loved her home in the Villas that was featured on the cover of the Garden Magazine. She was a member of Fitness First Health Spa in NJ until the age of 83 where she went three times a week. She also belonged to the Lower Twp. Democratic Club where she served as the secretary for at least two years. She was a member of the Golden Age Club of the Wildwood for five years. She graduated from Wilmington High School in 1935. Daughter of the late Herman and Ethel Manlove Conner, she was predeceased by one son: William H. Fitzgerald, Jr. (Aug. 2002) and two brothers: Herman and Burton Conner. Her spouse, Victor Shillingford, whom she was married to for 25 years, died in 2002; and her spouse, William H. Fitzgerald Sr., whom she was married to for 35 years, died in 1971. Survived by: one daughter, Diane L. Robinson of Aston, PA; 17 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Memorial Service Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 882 Concord Rd., Aston, PA, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment private.
