Press of Atlantic City - Newspaper Wednesday, May 28, 2003 SCHAUER, WALTER E., 70, of Fishing Creek, died on May 26, 2003 in Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Born in Elmer, he formerly lived in Berlin, before moving to Fishing Creek 14 years ago. Mr. Schauer served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a truck driver for Service Motors of Barrington, and then became a Captain of the charter boat "Sonny's Toy". He was a lifetime fireman in Williamstown, and was a Captain of Cape May Co. Party ad Charter Boat Association, Moose and the V.F.W. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Leona; children, Leona, Vince and family, Darin, John and family, Robert and family, Denise and family, David and family, Freddy and family and Rose, many grandchildren, two great grandchildren; his beloved dog, Cody and a brother Robert. He was preceded in death by a son, Walter in 1996. Funeral services will be held on Friday, 11 a.m. at The Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd. N. Cape May, where friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Veterans section in Cold Spring Cemetery.
