REED, WILLIAM J., 84, of Mystic Shores, formerly of Sea Isle City, died Saturday, May 31, 2003 
at Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division, He had previously lived in Drexel Hill, PA.


Mr. Reed was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, Class of 1936. He worked in his 
family trucking business and later for Clark Transfer Trucking Company until his retirement. He 
was a member of Saint Theresa's Church, Tuckerton, and the Knights of Columbus of Sea Isle 
City and a World War II Veteran.


Preceded in death be his three children, Mary Pat Anderson, James Reed and Joanne Moriarty, 
Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Theresa (nee Volpe), step-son Richard King, Sr., 
daughters-in-law Carol King and Patricia Reed. His grandsons, William, James, Kevin Reed, 
Richard M. King, Jr. and granddaughters Mary Pat Schlifke, Debbie Henderson, Colleen Bayless 
and Joanne Ling along with 11 great grandchildren also survive him. He will be sadly missed by all.


Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning at 11:00 
a.m. in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 44th and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, where friends may call 
from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family 
request memorial donations be made to West Catholic High School Memorial Fund, 4501 
Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19139-3699. Arrangements entrusted to Dinan Funeral Home,
