Press of Atlantic City - Newspaper Sunday, June 01, 2003 McKEEVER, WILLIAM J., 88, a prominent member of the Banking community, died Friday afternoon May 31, 2003, at his home in Sea Isle City. He had previously resided in Philadelphia, Penn Valley, PA, and Cocoa Beach, FL. Mr. McKeever was born in Philadelphia and was a graduate of North Catholic High School and Temple University. He was a Certified Public Accountant. He was a professor of business at Temple University and was a past member of the Board of Trustees. Mr. McKeever served as President and CEO of the former Public Federal Savings and Loan in Philadelphia from 1955 to 1976. He was President of the Pennsylvania Savings and Loan League and the National League of Insured Savings Associations. He served as a financial consultant for the Agency for International Development (A.I.D.) serving in Central and South America and Asia during the 1970's. Mr. McKeever is survived by his wife of 63 years, Emma (nee Hughes); two sons, Eugene and Lawrence (Donna); three daughters, Rozanne, Patricia Hoban (Edward) and Regina Donohue (Andrew); a brother, Joseph; 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Two sons, William, Jr. and Michael and a daughter, Emma, predeceased him. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 44th and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Dinan Funeral Home, Ocean View.
